Urban Culture is a website located at urbanCulture.me, or Urban Culture mobile application (collectively, “Urban Culture Platform”) and operated by HYS & BEAUTY PRIVATE LIMITED (“Urban Culture”, “Company”, “we”, “us” and “our”) a company duly registered and incorporated under the Companies Act, 1956. The company is strongly committed in protecting your privacy and has taken all necessary and reasonable measures to protect your personal information and handle the same in a safe and responsible manner in accordance with the terms and conditions of this policy (“Privacy Policy”).
The terms “you” and “your” refer to the Professional, Partner, or Service Provider who is registered on or engaged through the Urban Culture Platform to offer beauty, wellness, or related services. The term “Services” refers to the professional services rendered by you through the Urban Culture Platform, facilitated, supported, or scheduled by Urban Culture, whether via the app, website, or through any other authorized channel.
Please read this Policy before using the Urban Culture Platform or submitting any personal information to Urban Culture. This Policy is a part of and incorporated within, and is to be read along with, the Terms of Use. The information contained in this Website and the personal information collected by using/login and or accessing this Website and application are stored at a secured server. It is stated by the server service provider that they have all the best security practices required for the server. The Website and application are owned by an Indian company and are in India. Hence, we are duty bound to abide by the laws, regulations, rules, circulars, notifications, etc., governing privacy in India. This Privacy Policy is applicable to all users of this Website and application. The user is herein collectively referred to as “You”. You may note that this Privacy Policy may be found deficient with respect to certain privacy laws of some other countries. Permissible Age
The Services are not intended for users under the age of 18, unless required by applicable local laws (Permissible Age). We do not knowingly gather personal information from users, nor do we market or solicit information from anybody under the Permissible Age. If we discover that a person providing personal information is under the Permissible Age, we will remove the account and all associated information as soon as feasible.
Personal Data that we Collect
(a) To register and offer your services through the Urban Culture Platform, you are required to sign up by providing certain personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, OTP, residential address, date of birth, and profile picture. Some of this constitutes sensitive personal data (“Personal Information”) and is collected to verify your identity, onboard you as a verified Professional or Partner, and ensure compliance with legal and platform requirements. We may also use your contact details to share relevant updates, offers, or opportunities based on your profile, past activity, and preferences.
(b) When you use the Urban Culture Platform to provide services, we may collect and store certain information about you to facilitate service-related processes and streamline future transactions. This may include (but is not limited to) your phone number, address, email, billing details, and payment information. Such data helps in processing requests efficiently and auto filling relevant forms to enhance your experience as a Professional or Partner on the Platform.
Service Professionals
(a) If you sign up to join as a service Professional, we may collect (information not limited to) your name, email address, phone number, gender, date of birth, location details, address, copies of government identification documents and other details (KYC), call and SMS details, including photographs and videos. We also may collect payment information, such as credit card information, from you.
(b) Background Verification: The Service Professional acknowledges that as part of the on-boarding process, background checks may be conducted.
(c) Urban Culture reserves the right to record the conversations between service professionals and consumers facilitated by Urban Culture through the messaging/chat mechanism on the platform or the calls. All the chat/messaging logs or call recordings can be used but are not limited to monitoring and prohibiting abuse, safeguarding the rights of consumers and service professionals, and resolving disputes.
(d) Location data (Partner or Service Provider): We collect precise and approximate location data from the mobile devices of Service Professionals (Partners) when the Urban Culture app is running in the foreground or background. This ensures smooth operations, safety, and security, and helps to optimize service distribution and lead management. Location data is collected with partner consent, stored securely, and shared only as needed for service delivery and internal system management. No third-party sharing occurs outside these purposes.
Information Collect from Your Device
(a) Cookies:Cookies are small files sent to your device by your web browser. They help websites recognise your browser and remember specific information. We use cookies to identify users, understand their preferences, and track traffic to enhance your experience. We may also use third-party services to analyse visitors, but these services cannot use the data for other purposes. You may see third-party cookies on our site, which we do not control. If you send us personal emails or messages, we may keep that information linked to you.
(b) Contacts: We request access to your contact list to identify if any of your saved contacts are existing Urban Culture clients or professionals. This enables seamless booking, personalized referrals, and a friend discovery feature allowing professionals to connect with known contacts and grow their business through trusted networks.
(c) Location: We gather or use your specific device location to identify available services in your area. Background Location Capture and How to Opt Out To ensure seamless service delivery and operational efficiency, our app requires access to your device’s location even when the app is not actively in use. This background location access enables us to perform geofence checks, which are essential for executing automated actions such as assigning new jobs, updating job status (e.g., marking a job as delivered), displaying accurate Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA), and sharing real-time partner location with customers. These functionalities are critical for maintaining timely, transparent, and location-based service experiences for both our partners and users.
(d) Camera: We will only access images that you specifically choose, and we will never scan or import your photo library or camera roll. This allows you to choose individual pictures to change your user profile picture or easily upload documents. You can stop sharing photos and revoke access at any time.
(e) Device Information: In order to improve your app experience and lend stability to our services, we may collect information or employ third-party plugins that collect information about the devices you use to access our Services, including hardware models, operating systems and versions, software, file names and versions, preferred languages, unique device identifiers, advertising identifiers, serial numbers, device motion information, mobile network information, installed applications on devices, and phone state. The information collected thus will be disclosed to or collected directly by these plugins and may be used to improve the content and/or functionality of the services offered to you. (f) Usage data: We collect data about how users interact with our services. This includes access dates and times, app features or pages viewed, browser type, and app crashes and other system activity.
(g) Communications data: Communications data: We collect data regarding communications between users that are enabled through Urban Culture’s apps/web. This includes communication type (phone, text or in-app message), date/time, and content (including recordings of phone calls for quality assurance, training, and compliance purposes).
(h) Technical Data: which includes your IP address, browser type, internet service provider, details of operating system, access time, page views, device ID, device type, frequency of visiting our website and use of the Platform , website and mobile application activity, clicks, date and time stamps, location data, and other technology on the devices that you use to access the Platform.
(i) Transaction information: We collect transaction information related to the use of our services, including the type of services requested or provided; Booking or order details (such as date and time, addresses, distance and items ordered, other service items); and payment transaction information (Merchant's name and location, amount charged, and payment method). We also associate a user’s name with that of anyone who uses their promotion code.
Uses of Your Information
As a registered Professional or Partner on the Urban Culture Platform, your information may be used for the following purposes:
(a) To provide, personalize, maintain, and improve the services you offer through the Platform — including enabling job assignments, tracking, partner-specific features, and managing your Urban Culture account effectively.
(b) To fulfil contractual obligations between you and Urban Culture, and to provide you with relevant operational updates, service details, or platform-related support.
(c) To manage and strengthen the security and functionality of the Urban Culture Platform, including internal operations such as system maintenance, data analysis, troubleshooting, research, and performance evaluation.
(d) To communicate relevant service opportunities, job alerts, promotions, or updates similar to the services you offer or have shown interest in. We may contact you via SMS, email, or phone as part of these communications.
(e) To better understand how Professionals and Partners use the Platform — including service preferences, features used, and interaction patterns and use that understanding to improve platform functionality, customer experience, and partner support.
(f) To create reports, conduct data analysis, and carry out research to better understand platform usage trends among service partners and optimize overall service quality.
(g) To enable participation in platform-based interactive tools or features, if available.
(h) To measure the effectiveness of communication, promotional content, or partner-related updates and to deliver relevant information to you.
(i) To track and update you on the status and progress of customer bookings or jobs assigned to you through the Platform.
(j) We collect and process personal and professional data of employees and partners for administrative and performance-related purposes, including eligibility for internal benefits like loans and medical facilities. Access to these benefits may be performance-based, using records of performance and conduct to determine eligibility. By accepting employment terms, you consent to this information usage.
(h) Call Log: The Urban Culture Partner App requests access to call logs (read-only) strictly to enhance customer safety, ensure platform compliance, and support legitimate business operations. This permission is used exclusively for active, contractual beauty professionals while they are delivering services on behalf of the company. It allows the app to verify whether a professional was in communication with a client during a scheduled appointment, which helps in resolving customer complaints, identifying off-platform interactions, and preventing policy violations. Additionally, in rare cases of emergencies (such as road accidents while on duty), this information is used to support investigations and confirm the professional's activity during that time. Urban Culture may access call content (call number, time, and duration) that is used under strict security controls. The purpose is to protect customers from misuse, harassment, or post-service contact by former professionals and to maintain trust across our platform. This access is governed by our internal safety policies, professional contracts, and data protection protocols. We do not share call log data with any third party and never use it for advertising or profiling.
Priority Alerts
To ensure you never miss important updates related to your work, such as new lead assigned, cancelled or rescheduled, or urgent client messages, the Urban Culture Partner App may temporarily elevate your device’s alarm volume. This feature is strictly limited to essential priority notifications that support your service delivery. We use this permission only to Increase volume or play a ringtone for new lead notifications, lead cancellations, or urgent client alerts.
Disclosure and Distribution of Your Information
We may share your information that we collect for the following purposes:
(a) With professionals: We may share your information with our professionals, research firms, and other service providers or business partners, such as Payment processing companies. We also may use vendors for conducting surveys or organizing sweepstakes for us.
(b) With Academic Partners: We may share your information with our academic partners for the purpose of carrying out academic research.
(c) External third parties such as: External third parties such as trusted partners and service providers who help with various tasks like hosting our platform, marketing, processing payments, credit assessments, handling insurance claims, and providing our services to customers. Customers may use your services on the Platform. Analytic service providers and advertising networks help improve the Platform through web analytics. These providers may use cookies and other technologies. Regulators and other entities may also be involved as required by law.
Data Security and Retention
Data security:
We value your privacy and endeavor to keep your Personal Information secure. While we take reasonable precautions to prevent loss or misuse, internet transmission is not 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee data security on the Urban Culture Platform. When received, we implement steps to prevent unwanted access. You are responsible entirely for keeping your password secret, and we are not liable for unauthorized usage or password breaches. Data Retention:
(a) You agree that we will keep your personal data for as long as needed to achieve our purposes. We will also keep it for a reasonable time after you end your account or stop using our services, to meet our legal rights and duties.
(b) In some circumstances, we may aggregate your personal data (so that it can no longer be associated with you) for research or statistical purposes, in which case we may use this information indefinitely without further notice to you.
Review, Change or Account Deletion

(b) If you delete your User Contributions from our App/Websites, copies of your User Contributions may remain viewable in cached and archived pages or might have been copied or stored by other users of our websites. Proper access and use of information provided on our websites, including User Contributions, is governed by our Terms of Use.
(c) If you wish to delete your account, please note that this action is irreversible. Your customer rating will be reset. If you have made a transaction with the company, we will retain some of your data related to your transactions due to regulatory compliance and fraud prevention measures. If you haven’t made any transactions with the company, your account and all associated data will be deleted in accordance with our data deletion policy.
Payment Gateway
Information relating to electronic transactions entered via the Website shall be protected by encryption technology. We have partnered with secure payment gateways i.e., Paytm, PhonePe & Razor pay gateway. The Website does not have the ability to interfere and does not interfere with the payment gateway mechanism. The Website has no access to the information that you may enter for making the payment through the payment gateway. Your transaction and banking details or other information as required for internet banking or other payment instruments are held by our Payment Gateway partner. By creating a link to a payment gateway, we do not endorse the payment gateway, nor are we liable for any failure of products or services offered by such payment gateway. Such payment gateway may have a privacy policy different from that of ours. All failures/errors/omissions of the payment gateway shall be solely on the payment gateway. You hereby consent that you shall not sue the Website for any disputes that you may have with the payment gateway for any wrongdoing of the payment gateway.

We protect your privacy by employing recognized security standards and practices, while also adhering to relevant privacy regulations. Our website incorporates recognized physical, electronic, and procedural measures to guarantee that your information remains secure throughout its entire lifecycle within our system. Personal information is transformed into a hashed or encrypted format whenever it is saved within our system. Personal information is decoded, handled, and promptly re-encrypted or deleted when it is no longer needed.
OPT-OUT Policy
By creating an account, you are agreeing to receive emails from Urban Culture. You may sign in to adjust your email settings, or you can adhere to the “unsubscribe” guidelines provided in marketing emails. However, please be aware that you cannot choose to stop receiving specific administrative, service, or legal notifications from Urban Culture.
If you would like to revoke your permission for the use and sharing of your personal information as outlined in this Policy, or if you wish to have your data deleted, kindly contact us at [email protected]. Please be aware that we may require time to handle these requests, and your request will be effective within 5 (Five) business days from when we receive it. After this period, we will not process your personal data unless necessary for us to fulfil our legal obligations. We might not be able to provide you with some or all Services if you withdraw your consent.
Termination
This agreement shall remain in force and effect until terminated in writing and signed by all parties or shall automatically terminate two (2) years from the date of termination of employment between the Company and the Channel Partner.
The agreement may be terminated under the following conditions:
(a) If the professional’s behaviour or conduct towards the company’s people is not appropriate or respectful.
(b) If the professionals share the company’s confidential information with another company.
(c) If the professionals alter service prices on their own while visiting the customer’s home.
(d) The professionals must provide written notice via Registered Post (A.D.) two months in advance to resign from the job.
(e) If the professionals have taken a service kit from the company on loan (valued at approximately ₹45,000), for which the company itself is the guarantor, the professionals cannot leave the job until the full and final loan amount is paid. (The loan can also be repaid in a single instalment).
(f) In certain cases, professionals may request loan assistance through our partner financial institutions (NBFCs or banks). When such a request is made, Urban Culture may collect and securely transfer necessary documents (such as PAN, Aadhaar, address proof, etc.) to the third-party lender, solely to assist in their onboarding or verification process. Urban Culture does not provide loans, does not assess creditworthiness, and is not a financial service provider. All lending decisions are made solely by the licensed third-party lender. No loan disbursal or repayment activity takes place within this app.
(g) Until the full payment for the service kit is made, the kit will be considered the property of the company.
(h) If any professionals are found using or applying duplicate products on customers.
Legal Remedies and Enforcement
At Urban Culture, we uphold the highest standards of trust, transparency, and professional integrity. Any fraudulent activity, misuse of confidential company data, or deliberate bypassing of the Urban Culture platform by professionals will be treated as a gross violation of our policies and will lead to strict legal and contractual consequences.
